In the case of the Internet, the sender is the server that hosts the website and the receiver is the browser used to access any website. Its main objective is to identify users by storing their activity history on a specific website, so that they are provided with the most appropriate content for their habits. Then, when the same page is visited again, the server will request to use the same cookie to repair the site’s configuration and make the user’s visit as personal as possible.
To better understand the user needs and deliver a better service, the company uses anonymous identifiers (“cookies”) within the site to collect anonymous information on preferences and interests of its users. The information collected by this means is used to create anonymous profiles for any purpose, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products. The information obtained by this means is never combined with personal data that allows the identification of a specific person (such as name, address or email address) or any information that may be considered sensitive or that may compromise the user’s privacy.
